How we choose, store and test batteries

Date codes checked
Every battery carries a manufacturer's date code. We read it when stock arrives and again before the battery is loaded, so old stock does not end up in a customer's car.
Fresh stock, kept out of the sun
Batteries lose charge while they wait. We keep stock moving and store it away from direct sun, so a battery does not sit for months before it is fitted.
Voltage measured before fitting
A healthy rested battery reads about 12.6V. The new battery is measured before it goes in, and one that reads low is recharged or held back.
Matched to the car
Japanese and Korean cars mostly take JIS sizes, European cars DIN sizes and American cars BCI groups. We match size, terminal layout and technology: flooded, EFB or AGM.
What the warranty means
New batteries come with a warranty of up to 24 months, depending on the brand and type. The period is written on your invoice, and it covers manufacturing defects. If the battery gives trouble, message us with the invoice: a technician tests it at your car and replaces it if it fails the test. A battery drained by lights left on or a faulty alternator is not defective, and the test tells the two apart.
