Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Arjan Battery collects when you use this website or book a car battery or garage service with us in Dubai, why we need it, who sees it and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to follow the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL).
1.Who we are
Arjan Battery is a mobile car battery service based in Arjan, Dubai. A technician drives to your car, tests the battery and charging system, and jump-starts the car or fits a new battery on the spot. We also arrange garage services through partner workshops. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Arjan Battery.
For the personal data described here, we are the controller: we decide why it is collected and how it is used. Questions about this policy go to the same WhatsApp number or phone line you use to book a job.
2.What we collect
We collect only what a callout needs. Most of it comes from you, in a WhatsApp chat or a phone call, when you ask for a quote or book a visit.
- Your name and the phone or WhatsApp number you contact us from.
- Your location: the pin you share, plus the building, parking level or bay number you give us so the technician can find the car.
- Vehicle details: make, model, year and registration number, and sometimes the VIN or a photo of the registration card, used to match the correct battery.
- Photos or videos you send us, for example of the fitted battery, its label or a dashboard warning light.
- Job records: test readings, the battery fitted, its serial number or date code, the fitting date and the warranty period.
- Payment status: how you paid and if the invoice is settled. We do not see or store card numbers. Card payments run on the terminal provider's system, and Tabby and Tamara handle their own payment details.
- Website usage data collected through cookies, described further down this page.
3.How we use your data
We use your data to do the job you asked for and to stand behind it afterwards. Under the PDPL, most of this is processing needed to carry out a service you requested. Where we rely on your consent, such as for advertising cookies, you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you, and we do not send marketing broadcasts to your number unless you have agreed to receive them. The specific uses are listed below.
- Dispatch: sending the nearest technician to the right building, parking level and bay.
- Matching the battery: checking size, type and terminal layout against your vehicle before the technician sets off.
- Quotes and invoices: confirming the price on WhatsApp before dispatch and issuing an invoice after the job.
- Warranty records: linking the battery we fitted to your vehicle and number so a claim can be checked quickly.
- Service messages: arrival updates, the technician's location, follow-up on a job and replies to your questions.
- Improving the website and measuring which pages and adverts lead people to contact us.
4.WhatsApp and phone calls
Most bookings happen on WhatsApp. When you message us, we receive your number, your WhatsApp profile name and whatever you send: text, location pins, photos and voice notes. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, which processes messages under its own privacy policy. We do not control how Meta handles data on its platform.
When you call, we see your number and write down the details you give us so the technician has them. We contact you on the same number about that job: to confirm the price, share the arrival time or ask where the car is parked.
5.Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some keep the site working as you move between pages. Others measure how the site is used.
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located based on IP address, what device and browser they use, and which buttons they tap, such as the WhatsApp or call button. These reports reach us in aggregated form. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.
6.Google Ads, conversion tracking and remarketing
We advertise on Google. Google Ads conversion tracking sets a cookie when you arrive from one of our adverts, so we can count how many ad clicks lead to a WhatsApp message or a call. We also use Google Ads remarketing: Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to show our adverts on Google and on other websites to people who have visited this site before.
Remarketing audiences are built from page visits only, never from sensitive information. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can stop personalised advertising and tracking in several ways:
- Turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings (My Ad Centre) at adssettings.google.com.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without analytics and advertising cookies, and you can still call or message us.
- Use your phone's privacy settings to reset or limit its advertising ID.
7.Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the people and companies that need it to complete your job. We never sell your personal data, and we do not give it to other companies for their own marketing.
Google and Meta, both named in the list below, process data on servers outside the UAE under their own data protection terms.
- Technicians: the technician assigned to your job gets your name, number, location and vehicle details.
- Payment partners: if you choose Tabby or Tamara, we pass them what is needed to create the payment request, such as your mobile number and the invoice total. Their approval checks and your payment details fall under their own privacy policies. Card payments are processed by the card terminal provider.
- Partner workshops: for a garage job, the workshop receives your contact details, the vehicle details and the description of the fault. For pickup and drop-off, the driver also receives the location.
- Service providers: Google, for analytics and advertising as described above, and Meta, as the operator of WhatsApp.
- Authorities: police, courts or regulators, when UAE law requires us to disclose information.
8.How long we keep it
Job and warranty records are kept for the length of the battery warranty, which is up to 24 months depending on the battery, so that a claim can be checked against the original invoice and test readings. After that, invoices are kept for as long as UAE commercial and tax rules require.
Enquiries that do not become a job are not kept longer than we need to answer them. Location pins and photos are used for the job they were sent for and for any warranty claim linked to it. Cookie data is kept for the periods set in Google's tools, and you can clear cookies from your browser at any time.
9.Security
Access to customer records is limited to the staff and technicians who need them for dispatch, invoicing or warranty work. Card details are entered on the payment terminal and never pass through our phones or records. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will follow the notification steps the PDPL sets out.
10.Your rights
The PDPL gives you rights over the personal data we hold about you. To use any of them, message or call us from the number linked to your jobs so we can confirm it is you. We do not charge for these requests, and we answer within the time the law allows.
- Access: ask what data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correction: ask us to fix details that are wrong or out of date, such as a changed phone number or registration.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your data. We may need to keep invoice and warranty records where the law requires it or while a warranty is still running, and we will tell you if that applies.
- Restriction and objection: ask us to stop or limit a particular use of your data, including advertising.
- Withdrawing consent: withdraw consent you have given, for example to advertising cookies or follow-up messages. This does not affect what was done before you withdrew it.
- Complaint: if you are not satisfied with our reply, you can raise a complaint with the UAE Data Office, the regulator named in the PDPL.
11.Children
Our service is for drivers and vehicle owners, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12.Links to other services
This website links to services we do not run, including Google Maps for directions and area maps, and WhatsApp for messaging. Tapping those links takes you to platforms with their own privacy policies and cookie settings. Tabby and Tamara also apply their own policies when you pay through them. We suggest reading those policies, because this one covers only Arjan Battery.
13.Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our service, our tools or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. If a change significantly affects how we use data we already hold, we will say so on this page before it takes effect.
14.Contact us
For any question about this policy or a request about your data, message us on WhatsApp or call the phone line shown on this website. We are open 24 hours, 7 days. Tell us it is a privacy request so it reaches the right person.
