Who Camel is
Camel Group is based in Hubei province in central China and is among the biggest producers of starter batteries in the country. It sells to car plants and to the replacement market, and its range covers sealed maintenance-free calcium batteries as well as EFB and AGM for start-stop. The name is new to many Dubai drivers, but not to the factories that built their cars.
That is the reason we stock it. Is a Camel battery good enough for Dubai, or should I choose a European brand?
For a Chinese-brand car that came with one, a Camel of the same size and type is a sound choice. A European brand is not automatically longer-lived in this heat. We suggest a European battery mainly for European cars, where DIN sizing, AGM and registration decide the choice.
What battery does an MG, Jetour or Geely come with from the factory?
It varies by model, plant and year. Many arrive with a Camel or another Chinese-made battery, in a standard, EFB or AGM type. The label on the battery in your car is the reliable answer, so send us a photo and we match it before setting off.
My Chinese SUV has start-stop. Does Camel make the right battery for it?
