The short answer
Arjan Battery delivers emergency fuel in Arjan, Dubai, 24 hours a day. If your car has run out of petrol or diesel on the road or in a car park, message us with your location and fuel grade, and enough fuel to reach the nearest station is brought to the car. The arrival time is confirmed on WhatsApp or the call.
The range counter said 30 km and the queue on Hessa Street said otherwise. Running dry is ordinary and quick to fix, but the first minute matters: where the car comes to rest, and if you keep cranking an engine with nothing to burn. We bring the right grade, enough to get you to a pump, and see the engine start and idle before leaving.
What the job covers
- Petrol in the grade your car uses: Super 98, Special 95 or E-Plus 91
- Diesel for diesel cars and pickups
- Enough fuel to reach the nearest station
- Help restarting, with a battery boost if cranking has drained it
- Recovery arranged if the wrong fuel has gone in
Signs you need it
- The engine sputtered, lost power and died with the gauge on empty
- The range display reads zero or shows dashes
- The engine cranks at normal speed but will not fire after a low-fuel warning
- The car was left on a steep ramp with very little fuel and will not start
- The fuel gauge is unreliable and the last fill was a long time ago
What running dry does to the car
In a petrol car the fuel pump sits inside the tank, and the fuel around it keeps it cool and lubricated. When the tank empties the pump draws air. One empty tank rarely does harm, but minutes of cranking heat a dry pump and flatten the battery. Stop after two or three tries. Once fuel is in, switch the ignition on and off twice to refill the lines, then start.
Diesel is less forgiving. Air gets into the high-pressure pump and the injector lines and has to be purged before the engine will fire. Many modern diesels clear themselves with a few ignition cycles. Some older engines and pickups need bleeding by hand at the primer on the filter housing. Tell us it is a diesel and which model, so the technician comes prepared.
From an empty tank to the nearest pump
- 1
Stop somewhere safe
When the engine stumbles, signal and coast to the shoulder or a parking bay while the car still has momentum. Steering and brakes turn heavy once the engine stops.
- 2
Send location and grade
A live pin, the car model and the fuel type. The grade is printed inside the fuel flap.
- 3
Arrival confirmed
We reply with the arrival time and the cost before the technician sets off.
- 4
Fuel goes in
The right grade is poured in from a sealed can, enough to reach a station with margin.
- 5
Prime and start
The ignition is cycled to refill the lines and the engine is started. If the battery is tired from cranking, it gets a boost.
- 6
Fill up properly
Drive straight to a station and put in a real fill. The low-fuel light can take a few kilometres to clear.
Out of fuel, or something else
Probably an empty tank
- The low-fuel light had been on for a while before the engine died
- The engine stuttered under acceleration and then cut out
- It cranks at full speed with no sign of firing
- The range counter was in single digits or blank
Fuel will not fix it
- Slow cranking or clicking: that is the battery, not the tank
- The gauge shows a quarter or more and the car died suddenly
- The engine cut out just after refuelling: possibly the wrong fuel
- The temperature needle was in the red before it stopped
Wrong fuel in the tank: do not start the engine
If petrol went into a diesel car, or diesel into a petrol car, leave the ignition off. Starting it pulls the wrong fuel through the pump and injectors. The tank has to be drained at a workshop, so this is a recovery job, not a fuel delivery. Tell us what went in and roughly how much.

Emergency fuel delivery: common questions
Not answered here? Ask on WhatsApp. A person replies, at any hour.
How much fuel do you bring?
Enough to reach the nearest station with a comfortable margin, not a full tank. The point is to get the car to a pump, where you fill up as normal. If you are far from any station, say so in your message and we bring more.
Which fuel grades can you deliver?
The grades sold at UAE stations: Super 98, Special 95, E-Plus 91 and diesel. The grade your car needs is printed inside the fuel flap and in the handbook. If you cannot find it, send the make, model and year and we bring a grade that is safe for the engine.
Is it bad for the car to run out of fuel?
Once, usually not. Making a habit of driving on the last few litres is harder on the fuel pump, which relies on fuel for cooling, and can pull sediment from the bottom of the tank into the filter. Diesel engines suffer more, because air in the system has to be bled out.
The car still will not start after adding fuel. What now?
First the lines are primed by cycling the ignition a few times. If the battery has been flattened by cranking, the technician boosts it. If the engine still will not fire, the cause is something other than fuel, such as the pump or a sensor, and we arrange recovery to a workshop.
Can you deliver fuel to a basement car park at night?
Yes. We are open 24 hours, 7 days, and the fuel is carried to the bay by hand in a sealed can, so the car does not need to move. Send the building, level and bay number before you lose signal, and tell security a technician is coming.
