What Solite is and who makes it
Solite is the battery brand of Hyundai Sungwoo Solite, a Korean manufacturer in the Hyundai Sungwoo group. It builds lead-acid starter batteries for passenger cars and commercial vehicles and exports them widely, including to the UAE. Hyundai Sungwoo is a separate company from Hyundai Motor, so a Solite is not the Hyundai genuine part. That part is sold by Hyundai Mobis.
Most of the range is sealed maintenance-free calcium batteries. Lead-calcium grids lose very little water in service, so there are no caps to open and nothing to top up. Solite also makes EFB and AGM batteries for cars with start-stop. Which of the three your car needs is decided by what the factory fitted, not by the name on the case.

Is Solite a good battery for Dubai heat?
Yes, for cars that take a standard maintenance-free battery. Solite uses sealed calcium construction, which loses less water in heat than older designs. It is still a lead-acid battery, so expect about 2 to 3 years in the UAE, less if the car does only short trips or sits unused for weeks.
Is Solite the same as the genuine Hyundai battery?
No. Solite is made by Hyundai Sungwoo Solite, a different company from Hyundai Motor. The genuine part for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis is sold under the Hyundai Mobis name. Both are Korean and both come in the JIS sizes these cars use, so either one fits the tray correctly.
Which Solite size fits my car?
It depends on the engine and year. Small hatchbacks usually take NS40, many saloons take NS60 or 55D23L, mid-size SUVs often take 80D26L and large 4x4s 105D31L. Send a photo of the old battery label or your registration card and we check the fitted size before setting off.
Does Solite make an AGM battery for start-stop cars?
