The short answer
Tudor is a European battery brand owned by Exide Technologies, and it suits Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and other European cars in Dubai that take DIN sizes, including start-stop models that need EFB or AGM. Arjan Battery brings the correct Tudor to your car in Arjan, fits it on the spot and registers it with a scan tool where the car requires that.
Tudor is a good pick for
- European cars on DIN sizes such as DIN66, DIN75, DIN88 and DIN100
- Start-stop cars that need an EFB or AGM battery, not a standard one
- Cars with the battery in the boot or under a seat, where a sealed, vented case matters
- Owners who want a European battery from the Exide Technologies group
How Tudor Battery replacement works at your door
No app, no account. One message is enough.
- 1
Send your pin and your car
WhatsApp your live location with the make, model and year, or call. In a basement, add the tower name and bay number.
- 2
Get the price and arrival time
We reply with the battery options that fit, the full price and how long the van will take. Nothing moves until you say yes.
- 3
We test before we fit
The technician checks the old battery and the alternator first. If a jump start or a clean terminal fixes it, that is what you get.
- 4
Pay and drive
Cash, card, Tabby or Tamara at the car. Your warranty of up to 24 months arrives on WhatsApp before the van leaves.
Typical time at the car: 15 to 25 minutes.
Three Tudor types and the cars they belong in
The type is set by the car, not by preference. The label on the fitted battery tells us which column you are in.
Where the Tudor name comes from
What that background means for your car
Exide Technologies supplies batteries to European car plants, and the Tudor range is built on the same engineering. In practice that means DIN and EN cases with recessed posts, a hold-down lip along the base and a vent port on the side. Those are the details a European battery tray expects, and they are why a Japanese-size battery never sits right in a Golf or an A4.
Heat is the other half of the story in Dubai. Many European cars keep the battery in the boot or under a seat, away from the engine, which helps. They also draw current after you lock them, to run alarms, modules and telematics. Between that standing load and the summer, 2 to 3 years is a normal life for a Tudor here, as for its rivals.
Signs a European car's battery is on its way out
These cars usually warn you before they refuse to start. Any two of these together justify a battery testing visit.
- Start-stop no longer switches the engine off at traffic lights, even on a long drive
- A dashboard message about low battery charge or electrical consumers being switched off
- The engine turns over slowly after the car has stood for a weekend
- The clock, seat memory or one-touch windows lose their settings on their own
- The battery is more than 2 years old and has been through two UAE summers
Registration is part of the job
BMW and most modern Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mini, Land Rover and Volvo models have a battery monitoring system that tracks the age and type of the battery. After fitting a Tudor we register the new battery with a scan tool. Skip that step and the car keeps charging as if the worn battery were still there, which shortens the life of the new one.

Tudor: common questions
Not answered here? Ask on WhatsApp. A person replies, at any hour.
Is Tudor the same as Exide?
Tudor is a brand of Exide Technologies, the European battery group, so a Tudor and a European-made Exide come from the same company and share its engineering. Exide Industries in India is a separate maker with no link to Tudor. For your car, what counts is the correct DIN size and type.
Is a Tudor battery good for a BMW or Mercedes in Dubai?
Yes, provided it is the AGM battery in the size the car was built with, and it is registered after fitting. Most recent BMW and Mercedes-Benz models use AGM in DIN88 or DIN100, often in the boot. We check the fitted battery or the registration card before setting off.
Can I fit a Tudor EFB instead of the AGM battery my car came with?
No. A car designed around an AGM battery charges and discharges it harder than an EFB is built for, so the EFB fails early and start-stop stops working. Going the other way is usually fine: a car that came with EFB can normally take AGM of the same size.
Tudor or Varta: which should I choose for my Volkswagen?
Both are European brands made for DIN trays, and either is a correct choice. We would decide on the type first, then on which brand has your exact size in stock that day. A correctly sized, registered battery of either name will serve the car equally well in Dubai.
My car is dead in an Arjan basement and the battery is in the boot. Can you still fit a Tudor there?
Yes. Most European cars with a boot battery have jump posts under the bonnet. The technician powers the car from those, opens the boot, tests the battery and replaces it in the bay. Mobile signal is weak in many Arjan basements, so share your level and bay number before you go down.
