In Saheel, Mirador or Al Reem the pattern is the same: one car does the commute and another does the run to JESS and the community centre. The second car covers a few kilometres a day inside the gates and never reaches the highway. Its battery is always slightly undercharged, which is exactly the state heat punishes most.
A half-hour drive on Al Qudra Road once a week does more for that battery than a month of idling on the driveway, because an engine at idle charges very little. Golf buggies are a separate matter. They run on deep-cycle batteries, a different product from a car starter battery, so send a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight if we can help.
