A large petrol V8 needs far more cranking current than a small four-cylinder, and the car around it carries heated and cooled seats, air suspension and a dozen control units. That is why these cars use the biggest battery sizes, typically DIN88 to DIN100 in European models, and usually AGM. A smaller or lower-grade type will start the car for a while and then fail early.
On many of them you will not find the battery by lifting the bonnet. It may be under the boot floor, under a front seat or behind a panel, with jump posts provided at the front. The technician knows where to look on the common models and checks your exact car before he sets off, so the right battery and the right tools arrive together.
