What battery a Changan takes
Changan builds most of its cars around European-style DIN battery cases, not the JIS sizes used by Toyota and Nissan. That matters when you order. A DIN battery has recessed posts and a hold-down lip along the bottom edge, and the tray in a CS75 Plus or UNI-T is shaped for it. A JIS battery of similar capacity will not clamp down properly.
The second question is technology. Cars without idle stop-start run well on a sealed calcium battery. Cars that switch the engine off at traffic lights cycle the battery far harder and come with an EFB or AGM from the factory. We read the label on the fitted battery, or check the registration card, before the technician leaves for your address.

- Changan CS95
- The seven-seater with the 2.0 turbo takes the largest battery in the range, around 70 to 80Ah. We confirm the case size from the fitted battery before the technician leaves.
- Changan Alsvin
- The smallest battery in the range: a compact DIN unit of about 45 to 50Ah. Trims with idle stop-start usually carry an EFB, so we read the label before setting off.
- Changan UNI-T
- Usually an EFB or AGM of about 60 to 70Ah, because the 1.5 turbo runs idle stop-start and a lot of screens. Many cars have a battery sensor on the negative terminal, which we leave in place.
- Changan UNI-K

What size battery does a Changan CS75 Plus take?
Most CS75 Plus cars take a DIN battery in the 70Ah class. Trims with idle stop-start are fitted with an EFB or AGM, and the replacement should be the same type. Send us a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we match it before the technician leaves.
Can I fit a normal battery in a Changan with stop-start?
It will start the car, but it is the wrong part. Stop-start restarts the engine many times in a single trip, and an ordinary flooded battery is not built for that. Expect the stop-start function to drop out and the battery to fail early. An EFB or AGM car should get EFB or AGM again.
Does a Changan need battery coding after replacement?
Most do not need the battery registered with a scan tool. Cars with a battery sensor relearn the new battery over the next few drives. One-touch windows sometimes need resetting by holding the switch. We check for stored fault codes before leaving.
How long does a Changan battery last in Dubai?
